Tonight’s programme begins with our weekly tutorial from 7:00 sharp to 7:45pm which is on the all important topic of "Shutter Speed". Then at 8:00pm, our own club member, Vincent O’Connor, will be giving a talk on a topic that’s relevant to us all: how to make the most of our phones for photography. Don’t miss this chance to pick up practical tips on turning devices, that are at our fingertips, into creative tools. Dont forget to bring along your phone.

John Kelly, has worked for The Clare Champion for over 30yrs and is one of those photographers whose pictures are of the ordinary, but when you look at them, they are far from ordinary. Thu 13 Nov 2025 - Sean McConaghy will do an in house workshop on portraiture
Sean McConaghy is a man of many hats, Actor, Writer, Veteran and Photographer. Sean has hopefully settled into Galway having taken over The Lane Studios. Tonight Galway Camera Club welcomes Sean to an in house workshop on portraiture. This should be an interesting and very informative night - please bring your cameras etc for this workshop. Tonights workshop is incorporating our usual tutorial, but will start at 7.30pm.

We are definitely lucky to have in Galway and surrounding areas so many talented photographers and amoung them is definietely Andreas Riemenschneider. Andreas is a former member of Galway Camera Club and has kindly judged competitions for us before. We are delighted to have him judging this particular competition The Brian Callaghy print.
