Galway Camera Club are delighted to welcome Mr. Podge Kelly to open our 2023-2024 Season. This Thursday promises to be a lovely journey in photography as can been seen from some of the images attached. Start time 7.30pm.
Podge has been shooting and making images for over 35+ years. He is a professional photographer in Dublin and has covered weddings both nationwide all over Ireland and also International locations. Podge also has a large Portrait and Model portfolio.
A talent for presenting was also shown when Podge created/wrote and presented 40 half hour Television shows on Photography for RTE and it is the only one that has been done to date in Ireland.
He also lectures on Photography - Lighting - Photoshop - Lightroom all over Ireland and Internationally.
Many of you may have seen the photography on the railings of Stephen's Green, well Podge helped start and run this "Peoples Photography", that is held on the Railings of St Stephens Green. It is an Open Air Photographic Exhibition that anyone can enter, and after 35+ years, it is still running to this day and must be the longest running, or one of the longest running outdoor photographic exhibition of its kind.
Also a reminder that the "Get to know the beginners" is being held on Thursday 5th October from 7.00pm to 7.30pm. If you have a camera, do bring it along - if not no worries. If you could have ready to hand, 2/3 photos that you have recently taken it would help greatly in placing you in the right category for your skill set.
