Major thanks to Frank Grealish for what was a wonderful display of passion for his 2 hobbies - photography and aeroplanes! The skill that goes into getting photos of this caliber and all aspects surrounding being able to get access, safety, travel etc was a real eye opener. Thanks Frank for going to a lot of trouble especially in the last section of your presentation, where you showed all the settings that were needed to obtain some of these amazing shots. Keep doing what you so obviously enjoy and stay safe on those travels and especially up in the skies!
This Sunday there will be some members meeting at the Claddagh Hall at 11am for anyone who would like to join - the Claddagh is always a great area for photographing everything and anything. New members especially would find this a helpful exercise in getting practice with your cameras. If you have a tripod great - no worries if you dont. Make sure batteries are fully charged and card in camera. Enjoy as the day is supposed to be fine - so make hay etc etc.
Next Thursday night is one for all members - tutorial in protrait photography and also in still life - don't forget to bring the cameras with fully charged batteries and if you don't as yet have a tripod there may be one or two available on the night so no worries regarding that.
Entires for the first digital competition are due next week. The usual format 2 Color and 2 Black & White. The theme is an open one (which means you can enter any picture with no particular theme). Entry is through the website as was shown in the club but you must be a paid up member to enter. If anyone has problems entering you can ask next Thursday night for some help.
