Galway Camera Club will be looking skyward with the aid of Felix Sproll this coming Thursday 21st. After all the wonderful activity we have had in our skies this year, it is very appropriate that we have Felix Sproll giving a presentation on Night Sky Photography.
Felix growing up in County Mayo, fell in love with the great outdoors and photographing same. He graduated in Marine Science from NUIG in 2015. Felix continues to developed his love for photography and has been recognized as the World Landscape Photographer of the Year in 2021, secured the title of Irish Landscape Photographer of the Year for 'Best Image' in both 2022 and again in 2023, and clinched the first prize in the DIAS Reach for the Stars competition in 2022. Entries for the digital "Food for Thought" were due in on the 28th November, but the committee have decided that, as judging is not taking place until the 9th of January 2025, these entries will not now be due in until the 19th of December. This gives everyone more time on this competition.
